How to install an eSIM on your iPhone manually

Sometimes the easy route is blocked: you are looking at the QR code on the same phone you want to install it on, or the install link stalls. The manual method always works. 💪

We show exactly where to paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your JamboSim mail, and what each field means, so you do not have to guess.

Little known trick: if the QR code is on the screen of the phone itself, press and hold the image — iOS recognises the code straight from your photo library or screenshot.

Where do I find the SM-DP+ address and activation code?

In your JamboSim confirmation mail and in your account under My eSIMs. Copy them exactly, without extra spaces.

The code says it is already used — now what?

An eSIM profile can only be installed once. If you deleted it, we can reissue a fresh profile — mail [email protected] with your ICCID.

Do I need internet to install manually?

Yes, a Wi-Fi connection is required while the profile downloads. After that you can travel and switch data over to the eSIM.
