The short version: use the eSIM like a normal traveller and we'll never bother you. Spam, fraud, hammering the network, dodgy content, that's where we draw the line. Below are the specifics.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone using JamboSim, operated by Goomla B.V. It sits on top of our Terms of Service. By using the service you agree to follow it.
1. Why this exists
Our network partners share their towers and bandwidth with millions of travellers. To keep things fast and available for everyone, a handful of behaviours have to be off-limits. None of this is meant to police normal travel use, only the edge cases.
2. Stuff that's just not okay
Please don't use our service to:
- Send spam, phishing or malware (by email, SMS, or anything else).
- Commit fraud, identity theft, money laundering or any other crime.
- Distribute, store or look at content that's illegal where you are or where you've activated, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, or anything that infringes copyright.
- Harass, threaten, defame or impersonate other people.
- Invade other people's privacy, including recording or sharing their personal data without permission.
3. Don't break the network
Please don't:
- Use the eSIM for permanent or commercial-grade connectivity (think: running a business hotspot, an IoT fleet, security cameras, a VoIP gateway, or a 24/7 VPN tunnel) unless the plan explicitly allows it. These plans are built for travellers.
- Hammer the network with excessive peer-to-peer (P2P) or torrenting that slows things down for everyone else.
- Tether or share connectivity in a way that's clearly designed to dodge the Fair Usage Policy of your plan.
- Run port scans, vulnerability scans, denial-of-service attacks or any other security-testing on systems that aren't yours.
- Try to bypass throttling, regional restrictions or any technical limit built into the service or the underlying network.
- Resell, rent or sublicense your eSIM allowance to other people.
4. Keep accounts and payments clean
Please don't:
- Sign up with false info or pretend to be someone else.
- Share your login with other people.
- Use stolen, fraudulent or unauthorised payment methods.
- Game promo codes, referrals or our refund process.
5. See something dodgy? Tell us
If you think someone is misusing JamboSim, sending spam from a connection, hosting illegal content, attacking your systems, please let us know at [email protected] with as much detail as you can (timestamps, IP, content). We genuinely investigate every legitimate report.
6. What happens if something goes wrong
Depending on the situation, our response might be:
- A friendly heads-up by email.
- Throttling or temporarily pausing the eSIM.
- Permanently terminating the eSIM and/or your account, with no refund.
- Removing access to discount codes, referral credit and other goodies.
- Reporting it to law enforcement and helping their investigation, where the law requires.
For serious stuff (fraud, criminal activity, threats to the network) we may have to act immediately, without warning. We don't enjoy it, but it's how we keep the service safe for everyone else.
7. Changes
We'll update this AUP from time to time. The version published at jambosim.com/legal/acceptable-use is always the current one.
