Jambo! 90% of "my eSIM isn't working" problems are just one tiny setting away from fixing themselves. Let's talk about the APN — what it is, why it matters, and how to set it in under a minute.
APN stands for Access Point Name . Think of it as the little address label your phone uses to find the right "door" on the mobile network to get online. No correct address → no internet, even if you have full bars. 🚪 Modern phones usually auto-detect the APN when an eSIM is installed. But not always — especially with travel eSIMs that hop between carriers, the APN can stay empty, get an outdated value, or simply pick the wrong one. The fix takes 30 seconds once you know where to look. 👇
Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data).
Tap your JamboSim eSIM line (look for the label you gave it, e.g. "Travel").
Tap Cellular Data Network (sometimes called Mobile Data Network).
Under Cellular Data, paste the APN value from My eSIMs. Leave username/password empty unless My eSIMs lists them.
Go back and toggle Airplane Mode off/on to apply.
Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs (or Connections → SIM manager on Samsung).
Tap your JamboSim eSIM.
Tap Access Point Names (APN). Hit the + icon to add a new one.
Set Name to "JamboSim" and paste the APN from My eSIMs into the APN field. Leave the rest empty.
Save, then select the new APN as active. Toggle Airplane Mode off/on.
Full signal bars but websites won't load → very likely APN.
Data Roaming is ON for the JamboSim line → required, always.
JamboSim eSIM is set as the default mobile data line (your home SIM can stay for calls).
