Valencia Airport (VLC) is just 8 kilometres from the city centre. The fastest and easiest way in is the Metro (Lines 3 or 5), which takes about 25 minutes to Xàtiva station and costs €4.80 plus €1 for the reusable card. Alternatively, EMT Bus line 150 gets you downtown in 40 minutes for €1.45. Taxis are available right outside the arrivals hall and typically charge around €20 for a ride to the central districts.
Valencia is highly walkable and wonderfully flat, making it perfect for cycling. Grab a Valenbisi shared bike to cruise through the Turia Gardens or down to the beach. For longer distances, the public transport network is excellent. Buy a SUMA card for integrated travel across buses, trams, and metro lines; a 10-journey pass costs just €8. Relying on free Wi-Fi in Valencia can slow you down. While cafes and hotels usually offer decent connections, coverage in the expansive Turia Gardens or along Malvarrosa Beach is spotty at best.
